Cubanelle peppers are annual vegetables. They grow well in a warm season. It produces a pepper that has thin walls, and a mild sweet flavor. They can be green, yellow, and red.  They are used as frying peppers.  They can be stuffed, use in soups and casseroles, in sofrito, and pickled.

HOW TO GROW FROM SEEDS

Cubanelle peppers grow well in the ground or in containers.  They are very easy and rewarding to grow. Choose a pot that is at least12inches deep and wide. (a 3- to 5-gallon container is ideal) with excellent drainage holes in the bottom to prevent root rot.  In the ground choose a sunny area.

Fill your container with a rich, well-draining vegetable potting mix soil with a PH 6 and a 70 degree F. Add the seeds. The seeds will germinate after 2 weeks. Cover them with a layer of compost.   Peppers are heavy feeders, add more compost after the plant start flowering.

Place the plant in a sunny area. It needs 6 to 8 hours of direct sun daily.  Keep the plant moist all the time, not waterlogged. The plant will grow well. Sun, water, and compost will keep this Cubanelle peppers plant happy.   It will take about 110 to 1130 days to harvest your first Cubanelle pepper. The plant will reach 3 feet tall.

HOW TO HARVEST CUBANELLE PEPPERS

Cubanelle peppers plant produce abundant, heavy fruit, insert a small stake into the container early on to support the branches and keep the plant from toppling over.
