WHAT TO PLANT IN JANUARY?
It is January. Winter is here. The garden is dormant. The ground is hard. you may even have snow on the ground. It will be a few months before new plants start to come up. In the mean time, as a Cosmopolitan Gardener you are wondering what could you do for your garden during this time. There are things you can do. You can start growing some plants indoors. Preferable, some herbs that need to time to grow and they can grow indoors and later on you can transplant them easily, to the ground or to bigger pot and you can place them outside when the time is appropriated and the plant will survive outside.
Parsley is a herb that you can start growing indoors in January.
You will need :
A small pot. A few Parsley seeds. Some dirt. Compost . Water. Sun.
Take the empty pot. Fill it half of the pot with dirt . Add the couple of seeds maximum 4 seeds per container. Add more dirt. Cover the seeds completely with dirt. Add a spoonful of compost. Water the new plant. Keep it moist. Place it on a window to get some sun. It will take while to start sprouting. Keep it moist all the time. Watch it grow. Enjoy it. it will take 2 to 4 weeks to germinate and start growing.
Parsley is an herb that it is used for many purposes specially, cooking as a condiment. It is used as an aromatic oil. Parsley has s strong flavor. It is very tasty.
