HOW TO GROW MARJORAM FROM SEEDS IN CONTAINERS
Marjoram is a bushy aromatic perennial herb. It has a bitter taste and smells like mint. It could be consider a milder oregano taste. Marjoram and oregano are very closely relate. It grows well in a warm dry environment. Dry Marjoram is used to seasoning poultry and stuffing meat balls. Fresh marjoram has more flavor.
Chose a medium size container fill it up with nutritious soil. take the marjoram seeds and sprinkle on top of the container. Cover with a thin layer of compost. Make sure they they are moist all the time. Place them in a sunny place. watch them grow enjoy them.
Marjoram seeds like heat. It will take a couple of weeks to start germinate. Once the plant start germinate wait until the seedlings have some leaves. Once the seedlings have leaves you can transplant to a bigger pot or to a large container.
After a couple of months you can start plucking the leaves to consume them. When the leaves are cut the plant continue to grow more leaves. The plant can get to be 2 feet tall. The thin gray green leaves are smooth and have a velvety texture and can grow to be 1/2 inch wide.
