HOW TO GROW MARIGOLDS FROM SEEDS

Marigolds are annual plants that produce flowers that bloom throughout the summer. They are very easy to grow, and require low maintenance. They likes heat and sun 6 hours of sun daily and well drained soil. Keep the soil moist not soggy. They like to be misted all the time. Pollinators like marigolds. Marigolds repel harmful pests like aphids, and whiteflies. They attract beneficial insects like bees and Butterflies.

PLANTING THE SEEDS

When planting marigold seeds use very nutritious soil. The seeds are thing, long and are very fragile. They can grow if you just put the seeds in the ground. Place them on top of the soil. Cover them with a thin layer of compost. Marigolds can be planted directly on the ground or in containers. The seeds will germinate after 10 days. The plants will continue to grow. Continue to water them. After 80 days the plants will flower.

You can plant them in early spring when the temperature is 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. If you start indoors plant them 6 weeks before the last frosting.
