HOW TO GROW IRIS FROM BULBS

Iris come in bulbs. They are perennial. They bloom in May in zone 7B. They grow easily all over the world. They are very easy to grow. They are very adaptable. An iris will grow anywhere in water, in an empty pot. They need some dirt to cover their roots. They come back year after year. I plant them in September. They hibernate during the winter. They start coming up in April. They produce a beautiful flower. They come in a variety of colors. The flowers bloom for a whole month They can easily be transplanted and have more irises to plant. They grow a few feet tall.

PLANTING IRISES

When planting irises bulbs dig a hole 12 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep. Pick a hole that has good drainage. Irises can also be planted in a a pot. Place the rhizome on top of the hole. The rhizome stays up a little bit. Cover the bulb roots with soil. Add a layer of compost. Pat them and make sure the rhizomes and make sure they are hold down firmly. Make sure the bulbs are up so the flowers will be straight up.

Irises will bloom and they are very beautiful. Enjoy them.
