HOW TO GROW ROSEMARY FROM SEEDS?

Rosemary is an aromatic very flavor and strong fragrant herb. It is a shrub used for many things: spicing food, perfume, oils, shampoos, teas, medicinal purpose, alleviate muscle pain, promote hair grow, improve memory.

Growing rosemary from seeds could be tricky. They are known for being hard to grow. It takes 25 days to germinate a Rosemary seeds. When starting from seeds plant more seeds than you needs. It will help you to have a few plants and guarantee you will get a few healthy plants. Seedlings are very slow to grow.

Chose a good size container 8 to 10 inches wide 6 inches tall. Use good fertilized seedling soil. Rosemary likes sandy soils. Fill the container with soil. Place the seeds on top. Push them down gently with your finger cover them. Use a fistful of compost on top of the seeds. Water the new plant. Place them in a warm sunny place. Rosemary likes plenty of sun and to be dry.

Start rosemary seedlings indoors a month or two before the last frost. As soon as the first leaves are coming out place them in an area where they get plenty of sun. Keep the rosemary seedling inside until they are about 4 inches tall. when it is warm enough the seedlings could be placed in the garden where they will grow.

You can leave them in a container too. Rosemary grows well in containers. They can be placed in the kitchen where you will have access to the plant easily. Treat Rosemary as an annual even though it is a perennial. It grows very slowly. It will take a year to mature fully. It will last a long time. It could live up to 30 years. Bring it in at the end of the summer.

When placing the container outside chose a sunny place and let it grow. Rosemary is a strong hardy herb. It grows well. IT will need to be fertilized every month. Rosemary like to be dry, and plenty of sun. You can harvest the leaves easily. You can also dry the leaves in a cold dry dark place. They get used for all kinds of things.
