HOW TO GROW RADISHES FROM SEEDS

Radishes are the easiest annual vegetables to grow. They are red big balls. They grow one radish per plant. However you can grow a group of radishes seeds and you will have many radishes to be eaten.

HOW TO GROW THEM?

When growing them in containers make sure the containers are 8 inches wide and 10 inches long. Radishes like to stay in the same place. They do poorly when you transplant them. They prefer cool weather. As a cosmopolitan gardener you can plant radishes seeds every two weeks and have radishes the whole summer and spring.

Take some seedling soil in a container and Sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil with compost. keep the seeds close to the top. Cover them with a little more of soil. Push the seeds and the soil down. Keep them moist all the time.

Place them in a warm and sunny place at a temperature of 55 to 75 degrees F. The seedlings will start sprouting after 7 to 10 days. Radishes need 6 hours of direct sun light each day. Watch them grow. Enjoy them.

HOW TO TRANSPLANT RADISHES?

If radishes are left too long in the soil they will taste bitter and the texture will change to woody. Radishes are the fastest growing vegetables. It takes 4 weeks to get full grown radishes.

HOW TO EAT RADISHES?

Radishes can be eaten raw, pickled, coked. They are used in salads and many dishes. They don’t have to be peeled. They have a hot peppery flavor and crunchy texture.

They come in many colors. It is originate in China. Now, it is cultivated all over the world. They are rich in vitamin C. They help to relieve stomachache.
