HOW TO GROW FENNEL IN POTS FROM SEEDS

Fennel is a flowering perennial plant. It is considering a cool weather crop. It is a very pretty aromatic sweet herb. People use fennel in salads and soups and as decoration. It looks great in all spaces. It has very attractive yellow flowers.

It grows better in the spring or fall. If you plant, it during the summer when the temperature is rising the plant will bolt. It requires very little maintenance. It is hardy and drought resistance. It is very easy to grow. The temperature has to be 60 to 70 degrees. The stem of fennel is hollow. the bottom of the plant is a bulb. The leaves are long threadlike very thin. It grows best if you start the growing indoors. Place some fertilized soil in a container. Add the fennel seeds into the container. Press them down cover the seeds with more soil. Add some compost. The same is when planting in containers make sure they are 4 inches deep and 12 inches apart. Fennel likes full sun at least 6 hours daily. The soil has to be free draining sandy soil. It will take 3 months to grow fennel.
