HOW TO GROW BLACKBERRIES FROM SEEDS?

As a cosmopolitan gardener you can grow blackberries from seeds indoors. It is easy. Take a blackberry and get the seeds out. Once you have the seeds from the blackberry, soak them in clear water for a day. Then, plant the seeds in a small planter. Place some soil in the planter. Add the seeds. Cover the seeds with more soil. Put some compost on top the planter. Water the plant. Keep the planter moist all the time. Place the planter in a warm and sunny place. Watch it grow. Enjoy it.

The seed will sprout after a few days. Water it. Cover with a plastic bottle with the top open to keep the humidity of the plant. Place the planter in a sunny spot. When the seedlings get 8 inches tall it is time to replant it to a bigger container. It will take a few weeks for the plant to grow. Keep the plant moist.

Once the blackberry plant is 10 inches long and have plenty of leaves you can plant in a bigger container or you can plant in the ground. It will take up to 16 weeks to grow to full size.

Blackberries are perennial plants. They are consider an invasive species. Blackberries take up to 2 seasons to produce fruits from seeds. Blackberries need full sun a minimum of 8 hours of direct sunlight for plants to produce fruits. If they don’t have enough sun the bushes will grow nicely but they produce little fruit.
