HOW TO GROW ECHINACEA FROM SEEDS
Echinacea is a perennial herb that grows in the central area of the United States. It is used as a preventive herb to keep as strong immune system. It has antibacterial effect. It helps to treat respiratory track infections in children and adults.
GROWING ECHINACEA FROM SEEDS
Take a propagate tray and fill it up with nutritious soil. Water the tray. Place the echinacea seeds on top of the soil. Cover the seeds with a thick layer of compost. Press the the compost down to remove the air pockets. Water the tray. Cover the tray with a plastic layer. Place the tray next to a window. The temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Label the tray.
TRANSFER THEM SEEDLINGS TO A BIGGER CONTAINER
The seeds will germinate after 21 days. When the seedlings have two sets of leaves is time to transfer to a new container. Carefully, remove the seedling from the propagate tray to a small container. Place the seedling in the container. Gently press down the seedling. Fill the pot with soil. Keep it wet. The new plant will continue to grow. Keep it in a sunny area. The plant will get bigger.
PLANT THE NEW PLANTS IN TIER PERMANENT SPOT
When the plant is bigger it is time to plant outside or in a bigger container. Make a small hole in the soil. carefully remove the plant from the container and place it in the new permanent hole. Keep it wet. The plant will continue to grow. It could grow up to 4 feet. The plant will continue to grow. when the winter comes the plant will die. It will return next year. since it is a perennial herb. The first year it may not produce flowers but it will give flowers the second year. As the weather gets warm the plant will get new shoots. Once the plant is bigger it will get buds on top of the stem. The flowers will grow. Enjoy them.
HOW TO HARVESTING ECHINACEA
The whole plant can be used. The roots, leaves, and flowers are used as medicine. Pick the flowers for salads. The leaves can be used for salads and teas. The roots can be used for tinctures.
