HOW TO GRO CILANTRO FROM SEEDS ON POTS?

CILANTRO is a very old herb. The seeds were found in the tomb of Tutankhamen. It was cultivated by the ancient Egyptian. This herb is used all over the world.

Cilantro is a delicious culinary herb. It comes from coriander. Cilantro is the Spanish name for coriander. It is a annual herb. All parts of the herb are edible fresh and dry. It is original from Northern Africa. It has a white flower. The leaves are most commonly used in cooking.

You will need a container. Fill a container with fertile soil. The container could be 6 inches long and 4 inches wide. When the container is full, place the seeds on top of the soil. Push the seeds down gently. Add some compost to the container. Wet the new plant well. Place it in a sunny space. It likes partial sun.

Keep the new plant moist. It doesn’t like too much wetness. It will need a temperature of 75 degrees F. In about 7 to 10 day you will start seeing small seedlings. It will get to be around 20 inches tall.

The plant will start growing fast in another 2 weeks. Cilantro likes cold weather. It grow well in spring and fall with partial sun for a few hours. After 4 weeks cilantro will be fully develop. You can start harvesting.

Cilantro needs to be harvest as soon as the leaves grow to prevent it get a clump. The more you cut the leaves the more the leaves keep growing. When harvesting cilantro cut the big leaves first and leave the young leaves in the plant to keep growing. If it left along the flowers will come up very fast.
